The amenities offered were decent, particularly the varied breakfast options that changed daily. However, the service left much to be desired, as staff members often appeared indifferent to requests and even argued over basic necessities like extra pillows. Additionally, the firmness of the beds can be uncomfortable for some, which was a downside of the stay.

Oh man, the breakfast muffins at Toyoko Inn are the stuff of legend! Seriously, they had a daily rotation that kept my taste buds on a rollercoaster—never a dull morning! Plus, the clean rooms may be small, but they’re cozy, perfect for solo travelers who just want a crash pad after a long day of exploring.
Finding the closest exit to Shinjuku station can be a bit of a maze, so maybe a map might help future guests get back quicker. Also, the lack of a view was a slight bummer—just looking at a wall, ya know? And those bed mattresses felt a tad firm, possibly to keep them fresh for ages. But all in all, still a solid stay!

The stay was mainly for exploring Shinjuku and checking out some nearby attractions like Godzilla Head and Omoide Yokocho nights Market. I really appreciated the clean room and the daily-changing breakfast options, which kept things interesting. Although the rooms are small, they were efficient, providing just what I needed for a solo trip. However, I did find it a bit noisy at night with other guests. Overall, a decent place to stay while enjoying the vibrant nightlife of the area.

Toyoko Inn Shinjuku Kabukicho exceeded my expectations. The room featured smart storage solutions, easily fitting my two large suitcases. The ability to open the windows was a rare treat, providing fresh air. The complimentary Japanese breakfast included delightful flavors, though the breakfast area became overcrowded. The location in Shinjuku made it easy to explore the city, being a walk away from Higashi-Shinjuku and Okubo stations. However, the mattress was extremely firm and uncomfortable, causing back pain. Staff were mainly friendly, but when I requested an extra pillow, they declined, which was disappointing. Despite the few drawbacks, I enjoyed my stay and appreciated the good value for money.

Great Value and Cozy Comfort in the Heart of Tokyo
I recently stayed here for 6 nights, and it was a delightful experience overall. The iPad translators the staff used really impressed me, making communication super easy and ensuring my requests were met without any hassle. The cozy rooms have clever storage options, allowing me to fit two large suitcases comfortably, and I loved that I could open the window for fresh air—a luxury in city hotels! The breakfast, featuring a range of Japanese and Western dishes, was a lovely way to start the day. One area for improvement would be to enhance the shower experience to maintain a more consistent temperature.
